Here’s a small departure from books and shelfie Sundays, but they’re in the background so it still counts right? 😂 These are the newest additions to the Lego Star Wars helmets line, and they were super fun to build!! I’ve been really excited to see Rex and Cody join the lineup and I love how they turned out. Leia’s Boushh helmet was unexpected but I think they adapted it from her disguise in RotJ quite well! I got the Tie Fighter helmet as an awesome gift a couple years ago, and now they all line the tops of my bookcases so I think it’s safe to say I’m addicted to these 😅 Kind of wish I had the restraint to spread out the builds but oh well haha, looking forward to next year’s additions!

So this one is more of an appreciation post so I'd encourage reading the description. Cesare Soares, the designer of the Lego Darth Vader helmet, has done what is in my opinion, the best Lego helmet and my favourite Lego set I have ever built. I wanted to show it off with the helmets I have designed (instructions available for these helmets if interested 😉) because designing these two and building Vader really made me appreciate the work and creativity that goes into these helmets. There is a balance between practicality and accuracy that a Lego designer manages and it's part of the puzzle solving fun of designing with Lego. My favourite thing when I design is trying something I didn't know I could do with Lego and then seeing it work perfectly for what I am trying to make. I use Stud.io from bricklink to design my stuff. Any one looking for what I've described above get involved! You can message me anytime for advice or just to geek out! Also shout out to albo.lego, hp_bricks, timbricks99, hapahappenings, who do really great designs for helmets - you guys are awesome! #legostarwars #lego #starwars #legominifigures #legophotography #afol #legos #legostagram #legocity #minifigures #legofan #clonewars #legomoc #legophoto #legoleaks #instalego #legomania #toyphotography #legogram #starwarslego #moc #legoinstagram #legolife #legominifigs #legocollection #legoland #darthvader #stormtrooper #legomarvel #bhfyp
