Channel the dark side of the Force for a monumental creative challenge with this LEGO® Star Wars™ building kit (75419). This Ultimate Collector Series version of the Death Star from the classic Star Wars saga is the biggest LEGO Star Wars set of all (at launch) and is very displayable on a small surface due to its compact foundation. It is packed with details and Easter eggs to delight every fan. There’s the crushing trash compactor where the Rebel heroes were trapped; Princess Leia’s holding cell; the hangar control room that Luke Skywalker and Han Solo infiltrated disguised as Stormtroopers; the tractor beam control unit that Obi-Wan Kenobi deactivated; Emperor Palpatine’s throne room; the hangar bay with the Imperial Shuttle; the Death Star’s Superlaser; and much more.
A spectacular LEGO Star Wars gift for creative adults, this collectible building set includes 38 (yes, 38!) LEGO minifigures/figures with iconic accessories to recreate memorable scenes. Set contains 9,023-pieces.
I know it's a controversial opinion, but I'm midway through building the Death Star and I’m loving it. The build is engaging, packed with detail, and refreshingly free of heavy Technic. It flows well, never drags, and constantly gives you something interesting to assemble. The only real let‑down is the stickers as they pull you out of the experience, and at this price point fully printed elements feel like a fair expectation.
The minifigure lineup is huge, and it genuinely elevates the set. You’re constantly swapping characters, staging scenes, and getting those little bursts of nostalgia as you recognise each easter egg from the films. The build experience stays varied throughout; nothing feels repetitive or like filler.
I’ve been building it while rewatching the original trilogy, and the combination is ridiculously fun; you finish a section and immediately spot the scene it recreates on screen. It’s one of those sets that reminds you why LEGO and Star Wars work so well together.
As a display piece, it’s far more impressive in person than in photos. The open‑faced diorama style gives it presence without making it overwhelmingly large, and the surprisingly small footprint means it fits comfortably on most shelves. It’s the kind of set people notice instantly, even if they’re not LEGO fans.
Overall: a fantastic build with great variety, tons of minifigures, and a display presence that punches above its size. The stickers are the only real drawback, but the experience is…
