Medium challenge build makes for an awesome display model!
The Lego Technic McLaren Formula 1 Race Car is a challenging build that highlights the exceptional engineering and performance design of the modern Formula 1 Car. Papaya orange with touches of blue sport the colour scheme of the 2022 vehicle and contrasts nicely with the new Pirelli closed tyre designs.

Unfortunately this set has a lot of stickers (3 sheets worth) which requires a lot of patience to assemble. But the final result is well worth it as the sticker decals are what makes the car so realistic and true to the real life version MCL35 car. True F1 fans will be slightly disappointed that the set is missing optional sticker decals for driver numbers '3' and '4' to portray current McLaren drivers Daniel Riccardo and Lando Norris respectively. However, this does not ultimately take away from the overall display as other features such as working steering, a V6 Turbo Power Unit and adjustable rear wing DRS flap can be moved for further play/display value.

It would have be nice to have a display plaque highlighting the specifications of the innovative engineering that went into creating such a breaking edge performance vehicle however, lacking one less sticker doesn't hinder the set value.

This set is a must have for any Formula 1 fans (especially McLaren or Riccardo fans) that want something to build whilst watching a grand prix!

My first Lego build as an adult
I'm an F1 fan, a Daniel Ricciardo fan and a collector in general but purposefully stayed away from Lego because i knew if i started i wouldnt stop. This was my first purchase of Lego for myself and boy was it exciting. It was slow, it was difficult (i dont have lego fingers...yet! the tips of my fingers hurt for days). This is such a great build for anyone starting out. So intricate, so precise and just so god damn enjoying. Consider the Lego flood gates open!!!! Just wish it had driver numbers.

Love it!
Absolutely loved this build! It was my first technic build and it did not disappoint. I’m a big f1 fan so having this as a display piece is a bonus!
